Habitat for Humanity East Bay hosts AmeriCorps members through the National Direct, VISTA, and LISC programs. Positions are available on the construction site and in the office, and support our construction, fundraising, volunteer, and homeowner relations programs.

History

In 1994, Habitat for Humanity International and the AmeriCorps National Service Program entered into a partnership aimed at mobilizing more volunteers in the fight against poverty housing. Habitat East Bay has hosted AmeriCorps members since 1997, and we have one of the largest Habitat AmeriCorps teams in the country. Our current team is 18 members strong.
