Habitat for Humanity East Bay
Kathy Schmitz, a dedicated All-Women's Crew member, will be chronicling the progress of the revitalization taking place on Bonifacio Street. The house was bequeathed to Habitat for Humanity East Bay by Clarice Garrison, a very generous Legacy Society donor. The home, sponsored by the Women's Crew, will be rehabilitated and sold to a low-income family.
Helping to build Habitat homes from the ground up is satisfying and quite a learning experience. On the other hand, rehabs can be a lot of fun, too...and a good source of new skills and knowledge for dealing with "issues" at our own homes. The timeline is shorter and the progress is more obvious. The All-Women's Crew is ready to get underway!
