Habitat for Humanity East Bay relies on the generosity of the community to achieve our mission. That is why we are proud that less than 10% of all donations are used for overhead and administrative costs. In addition, we take your privacy very seriously. Our Donor Privacy Policy assures donors that we will respect their privacy, and only use contact information as it was intended. Please join us in our campaign to serve the next 200 families in just five years!

Foreclosure ProgramNeighborhood Stabilization Program

Habitat for Humanity East Bay is launching a new program that will offer solutions to the foreclosure crisis in the East Bay. The Neighborhood Stabilization Program will expand on our current building programs by acquiring foreclosed properties, rehabing them, and then selling them to low-income families at affordable rates.

House sponsors play a critcal role in Habitat East Bay's success. There is no typical house sponsor. Habitat East Bay works with individuals, corporations, faith groups, student groups and community groups to help deserving families achieve homeownership. Dream Builder's SocietyDream Builder Society

In support of this effort, we have launched our Dream Builder Society, a multi-year giving society. Dream Builder Society members select one of four pledge levels, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 or $25,000, and agree to make that annual gift to Habitat for Humanity East Bay for five years.

Land DonationsVacant Land – Donation or Discount

Habitat East Bay is looking for low cost land that is suitable to build on in the East Bay. Please see the information below for parcels that we are most interested in:

LAND: 1 ½ acre (65000 square feet) to 5 acres – preferably vacant or minimal structures
ZONING: R3, R4, C1, C2, C3, C4, CM, I, Light Manufacturing (or capable to be rezoned for residential use)
LOCATIONS: Alameda & Contra Costa Counties, especially: Hayward, Union City, Fremont, El Cerrito, Antioch, Pittsburg, Richmond
SPECIAL INTEREST: Vacant Light Industrial land bordering on residential areas

For instance, 41Pounds.org helps reduce your junk mail by up to 95% for five years. One-third of the subscription fee is donated to Habitat East Bay.
